Overview
With a goal to have all photo and video deliverables make the viewer say, “Ok, Walmart!”, my team at Complex collaborated on a daily basis with Walmart, streetwear titan Anwar Carrots, and Mad Engine, to create the clothing and all promo materials (in-store, online, social photo / video), for the Homegrown Collection to appear in 1,000 Walmarts.

The demand spoke for itself—20K+ units sold out online in less than 24 hours, prompting Walmart to restock just two days later. With a total of 665 million impressions, the campaign’s reach underscored the growing demand for culturally resonant storytelling at scale.
